VOKKERO ADAPTED TO HIGH RISK ENVIRONMENTS

In certain difficult, demanding or high-risk environments, professionals have working constraints (distance, wearing protective gear, etc.) that make it impossible to communicate with each other easily. The nuclear industry is a good example of this.
When interventions are required in nuclear power stations (periodic maintenance, changing the fuel, cleaning, decontamination, etc.) the health risks inherent to these environments mean that teams have to wear protective suits and masks, and these hinder communication.

EURO 2010: EHF trusts in VOK-REF 03

In less than a month, the EHF (European Handball Federation) will kick off the Men’s European Championship, held in Austria.

And once again, the elite referees of these championships will be equipped with the audio conferencing wireless VOK-REF 03.

The reason is simple - this system of wireless audio conference, specifically designed and developed to meet the specific needs of sports allows the two referees to remain in permanent contact among themselves and react quickly and collegially throughout the match, responding to requirements of their profession.

Recall that this system has already been chosen and approved by global instances of the Men’s Handball World Cup 2009 in Croatia and it has also becoming an indispensable tool of Basketball, ice-hockey, etc.
 

VOK-REF 05 supports Michel Platini and 5-person refereeing

FIFA, in accordance with UEFA, have decided to follow 5-referee tests during next season's European League.

Two additional referees
As well as thefield referee and the two linesmen, during matches two judges will also officiate each of the two penalty boxes. These additional referees are to monitor what happens in penalty boxes, such as fouls or inadmissible behaviour.
They will all be using ADEUNIS RF wireless communication systems. These are essential elements, since they will be the only links allowing the 5 of them to remain in constant contact.

Very positive results from the 1st tests
It was tested in under-19s European Championship qualifying tournaments in Cyprus, and was a great success.

The two additional referees will be able to give real time information required for making a quick and fair decision, using earphones.

Nicolas Berejny, Giant Slalom World Champion

The International Paralympic Skiing World Championships were held in Korea last Sunday. The first two days of competition in Gangwon-Do went very well for Nicolas Berejny. He competed in the Special Slalom and then the Giant Slalom, two events for which the man from Aquitaine was crowned Paralympic Champion in Turin in 2006.

Forced to abandon the slalom, this was soon forgotten following an excellent second day. After a faultless descent, the Marseillaise rang out when Nicolas mounted the highest step on the podium to be crowned World Champion.

Nicolas also narrowly missed out on a podium place in the Super G after he crept into 4th place. It was a more than encouraging result with a year left before the Vancouver games, which we are delighted to be taking part in.
